Hi, I'm Christine.
Former ER nurse turned career + life coach. Calm in a crisis, impatient with "someday."
See If We're a Good FitSound familiar?
You've built a good life on paper. The career is solid, people count on you, and from the outside it all looks handled. But there's a list in your head of things you'll get to someday: the change, the trip, the version of you that's been on hold for years. You keep thinking about it. You haven't done it yet.
I was living in the "or."
After nearly 20 years in nursing, I knew how to take care of everyone else. I'd left my family in New York and moved to Northwest Montana for the mountains, the lakes, and the trails. Then I worked so much that I rarely had the time or energy to enjoy them.
The moment it clicked was almost comical. The hospital made a recruiting video to lure people to beautiful Northwest Montana, and watching it, I realized I didn't have time to enjoy the very thing I'd moved here for. I was living in the "or": work or play, a paycheck or adventure. Work won far more often than I wanted it to.
In 2018 I left healthcare to build something different, and I've coached full time since 2020. These days I travel when I want to, and my 5-week trip to France was proof that I could have both.
What I do
Your brain is built to spot danger. Psychologists call it negativity bias: bad news and worst-case scenarios grab more of your attention than good ones. That's useful in an emergency. Most days, it's the voice telling you to play it safe, and it's a big part of why you feel stuck.
I help you notice that voice and stop taking orders from it. We look at the thoughts driving your choices and test new ones in your life. I call it your Study of One.
Hypothesize
Name what you think will work.
Test it
Try it in your actual life.
Evaluate
Look at what happened.
Adjust
Keep what works and change the rest.
Who I work with best
- Women who've built a career and want a life that matches it
- You've been "thinking about it" for a while, and you're ready to act
- You'd rather hear the truth than have a cheerleader
- You're at a turning point and want your next move to be with intention
- You want to live life on your terms and stop saving the good stuff for later
Montana life
When I'm not coaching, you'll find me adventuring in the mountains with my family here in the Flathead Valley, traveling somewhere new, or curled up by the fire with a good book. That's my And Life, and it's the life I help my clients build.
